The 1982 Rock 'N Roll v1 figure, machine gunner Craig S. McConnel, can be somewhat challenging to get in near mint condition. The major issue is getting one without paint wear to the gold criss-crossing ammunition chains across his chest and back. Because they're gold, wear to this area does not always show up clearly in photos. In addition, as with all figures with a removable helmet, look out for paint wear to the hair and eyebrows. The pouches on his thighs are the same color and may also be scratched or worn. Although his helmet came with a hole on each side, he did not come with a visor to snap into them.
As with all straight-arm G.I.Joe figures, the elbows are a concern. They may be cracked, chipped, or even discolored from stress.
